Principal's Bio


A native of Rappahannock County, Mr. Swindler is a proud member of the RCHS Class of 1978.  He earned his B.A. in history from the University of Virginia, his Master of Science in educational administration from Shenandoah University, and is working towards completion of his Doctorate in educational administration from Regent University.

Mr. Swindler has taught history and reading in the sixth grade at RCES, has taught history and P.E. at RCHS, and he has been Athletic Director and Facilities Director for the school division. For the 2016-17 school year Mr. Swindler is Facilities Director for the division and Assistant Principal for RCHS.

Mr. Swindler resides near Laurel Mills, VA, with his bride of twenty five years, Beth, who is a sign language interpreter with Stafford County Public Schools.  He has two children, Addie and Trey, both of whom are graduates of RCHS and who continued their education with Christopher Newport University and Old Dominion University, respectively.  Mr. Swindler enjoys kayaking, getaways to the beach whenever possible, and train travel across the United States.
