Lord Fairfax Community College Foundation Scholarships

Due Date: March 29, 2019
Application: must be completed online @ lfcc.academicworks.com
Requirements: you must apply and be accepted as a LFCC student before you can apply for LFCC scholarships.

The Phillip A. Hughes Foundation

Due Date: April 5, 2019
Application: Can be found at the scholarship information wall located outside the guidance door.
Requirements: Have two letters of recommendation from teachers.
300 word essay. Applicant must mail their application to address in pack.

Ian and Mary Lou Phillips Scholarship

Due Date: March 28th, 2019
Application: Is only available at the brochure information center located outside the guidance door.
Applications must be turned into Mrs. Cox in Guidance
Requirements: Will be awarded to a student who has demonstrated a significant commitment to leadership & organizational skills to improve their community.
Three letters of recommendation & and an essay is required.

The Bill Kyle Memorial Scholarship

Due Date: March 28, 2019
Application: Only available at the brochure information center located outside the guidance door.
Application must be turned into Mrs. Cox in guidance
Requirements: will be awarded to a student who has been involved in their community while in high school, compensated activity does not qualify.
Three letters of recommendation & an essay is required.

The Thornhill Family Scholarship

Due Date: March 28, 2019
Application: Only available at the brochure information center located outside the guidance door.
Applications must be turned into Mrs. Cox in guidance
Requirements: will be awarded to a student who has demonstrated commitment to academic excellence and outstanding leadership.
Three letters of recommendation & an essay is required.

Mary McNeil Willis Scholarships
Culpeper Hospital Auxiliary

Due Date: March 16, 2019
Application: Only available at the brochure information center located outside the guidance.
Applications must be turned into Mrs. Cox in guidance.
Requirements: For students who plan on pursuing a career in health care for human beings.
Letters of recommendation & an essay is required.

Culpeper Soil & Water Scholarship

Due Date: March 29, 2019
Applications: Can be located on www.culpeperswcd.org/education-programs/academic-scholarships/ OR at the brochure information center located outside the guidance door.
Requirements: You must be majoring in a field related to conservation-agriculture, environmental science, conservation biology.

Windmore Foundation For The Arts Scholarship

Due Date: April 1st, 2019

Requirements: Scholarship is available to a student continuing education in the visual, performing, musical, theater, or literary arts field.

Alumni Association, Inc. Scholarship

Due Date: April 9, 2019

Requirements: For candidates who are already enrolled in college or plan pursue their education in a 4 year institution or higher will receive $1,000.00. Candidates planning on attending community college or vocational school will receive $500.00.

Granville P. Meade Scholarship

Due Date: March 29, 2019

Applications are due to the counseling office by March 29, 2019. The Virginia Department of Education is announcing the Granville P. Meade Scholarship that provides financial assistance to students who have achieved academically, but who are financially unable to attend college. The Granville P. Meade fund awards scholarships to eligible Virginia high school seniors to attend one of Virginia's public or private colleges or universities. Additional information about the scholarship is in the 2019 Granville P. Meade Scholarship Procedures for the Selection of Recipients. Students may apply using the VDOE 2019 Granville P. Meade Scholarship Application.

University of Va. Community Credit Union
Local High School Scholarship Program

Due Date: April 7th, 2019

Applications: Can be located and submitted online at uvacreditunion.org OR at the brochure information center located outside the guidance door.
Requirements: students that plan on attending a two or four year college or university
U.S. college or university in the fall of 2019.
Hold a GPA of at least 2.50
Essay required

Salem Ruritan Scholarship

Due Date: March 22, 2019

Applications: Are available only at the brochure information center located outside the guidance door. Applications must be turned into Mrs. Cox in guidance.
Requirements: Will be awarded to a student demonstrating academic dedication and achievement along with extracurricular activities and community service.

Janice M. Scott Memorial Scholarship Fund

Due Date: March 31, 2019

Applications: Can found online https://jmscottmemorialfund.org/ OR at the brochure information center located outside the guidance door.
Requirements: US citizen, GPA 3.0, students who will be attending a four year college or university full time.
Had leadership roles and community services.
Parent(s) income can not exceed $50,000.00
